I was gonna say! I look at the same hills as you, and I didn't see that much snow.

Spent a few hours wire brushing my frame. I would have liked to get more done but dad recruited my help. I tried to get some pictures but my camera was dead.

Replaced my fusible link from the alternator to the stud on the solenoid. The old red one was ONE strand of copper!

Dyed my soft top from gray to black. Used Duplicolor vinyl paint. Washed it with soap and water, wiped it down with paint prep, taped off the windows, and sprayed it black. Three coats took six cans. It looks like a new top, but a heck of a lot cheaper! I was scared to try this, but i did a lot of research and learned that just like painting anything, the most important part is the prep work. It looks awesome, and I would recommend it.

I have a bunch of pics I can show you of the build even though I'm not totally finished with the tire carrier at this point (I'm real close ).
I'm trying to finish soon so I can move-on to some rocker guard/side steps I have in mind...as well as safari-style-tubed half doors. There's just not a whole bunch of aftermarket items for the cj5 as the others have available...at least in my searching.
PM sent

snow TOO deep?

aah, camping is fun!

And you, Rare, now I see why you have to keep weld (er) ing your frame. It's a hot cold shrink expand thing. Judging by the furrows in that funny looking white stuff you been out having a fat good time. You blokes sure do have a healthy variety of wheeling at your disposal.

And then there's this. In my world of Toyota mine cars, Hiluxes, Cruisers and gay Prados all with HiViz stripes down the side here, finally is someone who's man enough to put a REAL vehicle out there, my dream ute:

Gary, love it. Some day will get down there. Am awaiting delivery of my much awaited trailer tent fro www.3dogcampingusa.com

So, while our local snow experiences are somewhat tame, this is from a run last winter further west in the hills... Looking back for pic-- and yes thats a FJ
