A little more sanding...
A little more priming...
And some paint.

Pulled out the motor and pressure washed it. Then I removed the water pump and thermostat housing. After it dried I hit the block with Right Stuff Formula #3000 De-Ruster. Don't know what is in it but smells like some kinda acid and what dripped on the concrete turned white. On the block it turned the rust to a gun metal grey color.

I finished painting my rims and then replaced the bushings on the sway bar in my brothers explorer

Awaiting cooler weather to drop the gas tank and change the plastic float to a brass one.

New fuel filler hose and breather hose. Hopefully that eliminates the 3 days of fuel odor after each fill up.

I put my flywheel, clutch, bellhousing, tranny, and t case on. And I followed that by test fitting my JB fab twin sticks. I'm exhausted.

Hey joe that's phosphoric acid. It's the business isn't it. Cool thing with it on steel is that if you let it dry completely then paint over it, it will stay active against rust (oxidisation) so you won't get those rust worms from tiny stone chips.
