Fixed the dizzy shaft. Bushings wore out and was so sloppy the rotor was hitting the cap. No wonder i was hearing a thud every now and then.

Well over break, I had to buy a new batery, get my driveshaft rebuilt, patch a hole in my radiator, clean out my gas tank, and rewire my lights. I love my jeeps, It always finds me projects for when I am home, I dont think it likes me to drive it much. It would rather be on top.

Finally drove my jeep for the first time in months. Finished the replacement of the rear end, front end, SOA w/ new suspension, brake lines, driveshafts, gas tank, and all the crap that went wrong along the way. Felt good to get it on the road and couldn't have done it without the forum and my brother in law, Bdmonist..

Lets see, Just today, I pulled the steering wheel off, pulled the dash off, looked at the wiring mess under the dash almost cried because I need to either fix it or rewire it. I pulled the front bumper off, cause I accidently ripped it off pulling the jeep from the sand. I sanded the dash down, getting ready to close off the holes that I dont need. I bought new gauges, including a speedo and boo it doesnt fit so I had to get something to make the hole smaller...

Tomorrow will be capping in more holes, and grinding them down...and take the tie-rod ends off and replace them. Ive been sanding the body down and finding so much bondo, its disheartening.

Replacing the fuel tank, tank skid plate, fuel & vent lines, and replacing the brakes. The BlackPearl was abused by her PO, and we are slowly nurturing her back to a full recovery.

Did a complete brake job on the Peaches '86 CJ7 yesterday & put some of those good pads on & it stops like I did the yJ booster conversion (it has manual brakes).

P.S. Fuzzzzzzzzzzzzz, U can't go mudding w/those tires.
