Worked on my tail light issue some more with no luck. Decided to come inside before I took a hammer to the body.

Installed a stereo, tach, then buttoned up the inside.....gotta fix the drivers seat, install the console and the AC evaporator, then put the seats back in. Took the winch off and the front grill...gonna install the JeepAir AC over the next week or two along with new valve cover, then reinstall the grill and winch.

Wow, that interior is SHARP. One of my favorite color combos. Awesome work.

I lowered the front of mine about 4 inches, stretched the front axle forward about 5 inches. Got one side done with coilover shock mounts, and the shock installed. I also got my radius arm brackets squared away. Now to do the other side, and get those pesky leaf springs out of there. I want to drop it another inch to 1 1/2 inches, then go back to SUA in the rear. Then it'll be low and not-so-slow.

Nothing my Cherokee got jealous of all of the attention going to the 79 CJ so she blew a brake cylinder out. That turned into a 5 hour cuss fest.

Made a custom Hi-lift jack hood mount and moved my jack from the rear bumper to the hood!

WOW, What a Busy Weekend

What a Busy Weekend and still not done. It started on Friday with a CB Radio Install (Cobra 75WX, Fire Stik), and then a Power Brake Upgrade (EO-1220). I then started a Rough Country Shackle Inversion Kit (RH-5060) and Smittybilt Bumper Adapter Kit (SB-2812). And now I am installing a Rough Country 4" lift (RC-675H) and lastly Crown Extended Brake Lines (SMOKE).

Pictures Forthcoming

All of these accessories (except the CB and antenna) available at www.pimpmytrailrig.com

Not a bad morning, I swapped in another light switch that I got off epay and found out why the dash lights did not work. The wire from the switch to the fust block was broken off. Could not find the other end of the wire so I slid a spade connector in next to the 3 amp fuse and WOW I have dash lights. The windshield washer pump is next. Wish me luck.

Gutted my doors to figure out why the outside latch wouldn't work, adjusted to door catch so it would latch, painted other door, installed overflow bottle adjusted the windshield to take the gap out between it and the doors, realigned the hardtop, fiddled with some vacuum lines, made a bracket for the throatal return spring. Fixed the key so it would start off the key again, wired up the radio so I wouldn't loose my presets every time I shut it off... Was a long day.

Installed new low-back Bestop seats ( front seats). Found out my drivers seat riser is crap and had to order a replacement. While I'm waiting, took her to axle shop to have pinion bearing/seal replaced on Dana30 and hub seals. ( been leaking on my garage floor too much lately) Back in time for the weekend!

74 cj5 used the airplane paint stripper to remove about 4 layers of paint from my hood, and started sanding the other 3 layers of paint and bondo to try to get to bare metal.

Installed my Borgeson steeling shaft and tightened steering gear box mesh. Once I put on the stabilizer she'll track loads better. Also mounted my ARB air compressor and began the wire harness install. And finally, got a set of Dana 44 upgraded axels in the mail, that's cool I guess but they were supposed to be AMC 20 axels :/

Took off the old plastic valve cover, spent 2 evenings scraping the old rubber gasket off and put in the new valve cover.
