New to the forum. Looks like I will be able to get some great ideas that I can do. Currently as of today the interior was stripped out to prep it for Herculiner, and then I can start putting it back together. Within the last month I have recovered the back seat, made custom speaker/storage boxes for the wheel wells, purchase new front seats which the require a new center console to be made, extended the roll bar to the back (family style), general maintenance and repairs. Soon to happen will be making a new soft top, replacing exhaust, and a few other minor changes. Look forward to reading more.

Happy trails!
Welcome can't wait to see some pics

It's the STEERING wheel that you are supposed to make removable, not the wheel that the tire goes on. Actually, been there done that. LOL.

At least you missed the post. I suppose this is where a high lift jack would come in handy.

At least it didn't happen while you were going down the highway. Glad everyone's safe. I had that happen once except I caught it before the axel completely took off on its own. I looked in the mirror a saw my tire trying to divorce my jeep. 3 wheelers were never safe...

Wireing a 79 CJ7

Ok so, I have been working on my CJ for a long time now( thanks mostly to the Army). I am in a position to begin finishing and will most likely be looking for some advice/help. I will be installing a EZ wireing harness. I need to know where and how many chassis ground cables I need and what size wire to use.
Thanks in advance.

But did you get the ice cream?!

That sucks. Sounds about like the first D35 I blew when I hit a pot hole rather than out taking the abuse.

Put the rest of the grounds I made on, still have a few more I think I want and bought a set of rough hard doors for the internals.
