Pulled the inspection cover off the side and discovered to broke valve springs... Their broke at the bottom close to the seat.. It ran great just before we decided to tear it back down so we're thinking of maybe just leaving it. Havent decided yet.

finally got the front end done today. All new bearings, seals, 4.56 gears, home built high steer, new tie rod and drag link. Still need to build new, taller shock mount and reassemble brakes.
Next up is transmission and xfer case swap, then truss and anti-wrap for the rear, then add power steering, add power brakes, hook up hydraulic winch...it's a long list!1

Swapped out my sr4 for a used t5 transmission only to discover 5th gear is out of the t5. The sr4 was whinning and whirring and making all kinds of fun noises and wouldn't go into gear 1/3 of the time. So at least all of that is gone but I basically now have a t4 until I get ahold of the place I bought it from and kick them in the head until they give me another transmission or pay for a rebuild.

No joke!!! I have 10w-40 oil in there right now so I am going to swap to full synthetic 75w-90 today and see If that helps at all. There are so many opinions on which lube is best to use for the T5,it was a tough decision to finally go ahead with the 10w-40. So now that I'm having trouble I'm going to go ahead and try a different lube and see if it makes a difference.
To follow the concept of this thread... I decided to go ahead and assemble and mount these today to maybe make me feel a little better after my trans dissapointment(pending).
I will have to give them a run and see about the performance side of them, but they sure are some good lookin shocks even if they suck...lol.

This was my little helper for the assembly stage of the shocks...careful he is so viscious he just might bite you through the screen
