a quick peak at the paint, but, the fender was being wet sanded due to some sags in the metal flake...

67 Camaro(not 100% on the year), pretty sure it was a 6 cyl car.

And I would be interested in the jegs cage build, been wanting to do a cage for a long time, since there both 84s they should be exact. That and the fact that im only an hour from jegs.

Note: check your drive shaft u-joint strap bolts.

I havenít touched them since I put the drive shaft back on after the engine swap 2 years ago. Well, one of the bolts wiggled itself out and the d-shaft at the TC parted ways at 45mph. Didnít give me and pre-notice, just thumpÖthump..bangÖbang. Was able to coast up and over the curb. Put a few dings into the underside of the tube and thatís about it. The remaining 3 had backed out several turns and the bolts connected at the axle took several turns to tighten. Pulled out the olí tools and removed the rear d-shaft and drove the 5 miles home on the front shaft. Could of swore I used blue lock tight.

Ordered two new fender from Morris 4x4. Hopefully this will get me motivated to do the body work and paint the tub of bolts.

P.S. They had the fenders on overstock. Saved about $150 on both fenders.

Cut out the floor pan underneath where the roll bar sits behind the front seats. When I took the roll bar out I could see pavement through the rust holes. Welded in new 18g sheet metal, sealed the seams with some polyurethane, sprayed with rust preventer and top coated with flat black.

Close, it was a 68.

I can call Jeg's tomorrow and verify that they still have the specs. They bent the bars according to the measurements I gave them, like I said I had them cut everything long so I could fit it as I desired. I left about 1.5 inches between the windshield and the halo bar, controled the heigth on the hoop bar by cutting the front legs at the top and bottom so they laid correctly in the dash pad and against the windshield. Then cut the dash bar, speaders and door bars. I had the rear bars bent here at the house using a 2X4 template I made, but I haven't installed them yet. I used a family bar as the basis.

Hope this helps

Took my transmission, trAnsfercase and bell housing off. Going to put new transmission in when I realized I have a t15 and I bought a t150 stupid me. Atleast now I'm in no rush and can go ahead and do a clutch while I'm at it.

Changed the gear oil on the front and rear differentials and transfer case. Also replaced rear differential cover, original was rotting.

Ordered a dual diaphragm brake booster kit. Hopefully I'll be able to stop it safely without the pedal hitting the floor! Had a couple of close calls already.

I talked to Jeg's this morning and they did not retain the specs, but they did say the price was still good. I will take some measurements in the next few days, revive my cage build thread and post the info.

See ya

Man I know how that is... Usually results in the project taking way longer than expected
