Drove it down to the local gas station and put air in the tires. Not a great feat, but with only a bikini top and half doors, and being mid Feb in Pa., it was a nice day to take it for a drive.

Come on warm weather!!!!!!!!!!

Replaced the heater core hopefully for the last time today, after buying a jeep with no heat and a heater core in a parts box that was "guaranteed to work" by the PO. Technically, it did work, but only for a month before it turned the inside of my jeep into a leaky coolant sauna with the heat on. Unfortunately, it crapped out when it's been a whopping 9 -15 degrees out, and today when I replaced it and finally have heat, it's 45 out. I also cut out a spot in the heater box to mount a resistor, since I don't have the fresh air box or whatever it's called installed in the jeep. so now I have 3 speeds of heat. Neato.

Tomorrow I'm tackling some leaky intake gaskets.

Bandaid repair on tail pipe. Got rear ended yesterday and tail pipe was pushed into the the tire. I love this jeep.

Yeah I agree tomorrow I will pick up another can of the stuff it is a rattle can high heat metalic- titanium silver blue

yeah I was really surprised how nice it came out especially since the FIRST TIME I painted the air cleaner lid it fell pretty side down onto the nasty floor and had to be wiped sanded and repainted. What a neat color from a rattle can.

Today I pulled the transfer case off the old tranny and disassembled the input shaft while I am waiting for the new input shaft and adapter from Novak conversions. I am also waiting for the Novak motor and tranny mounts for the sbc and auto tranny.

On the gm 700r4 tranny I drained it, pulled the pan and filter, then ran the new internal harness for the TCI lock up kit, this was necessary as my jeep never was wired for an overdrive tranny and it was an upgrade to the older setup and even includes an option to wire a switch for locking on demand even in second gear. I guess I don't understand it much I was told it's a nice feature if your towing, not sure I understand but that's okay

The tranny fluid was pretty dark but there weren't any chunks inside so I remain optimistic about the used tranny. Tomorrow I will clean the pan and magnet up, reinstall a new filter and gasket then put the pan back on, and add tranny fluid. Next I will marry the motor and tranny so it is ready to be dropped in... gotta get it in before the body is done being painted for assembly. The painter hasn't got to it yet so there is still time.

anyone looking for a PTO winch? I am taking it off my ole girl. I really don't need a winch for where I go. I would rather have a locker in the rear end.....

Yanking the BBD from hell. Installing Weber. Can't live with the Carter another day. Will have to convert back for smog if relocated to CA. Oh well, more garage and beer time.

FINALLY got my new Corbeau neoprene seats even though I just got off the phone with Q-tec and they said they'd be in next week.

Installing the seat heaters too. Thank god I had the pliers for the J hooks...
