Wired the NATO plug for the M416 trailer. All but the Aux power, black-out tail lights and blackout stop light. I need a switch, a couple more relays, and a few more connectors to connect them to the relays.

Most just go with the 4-pin flat plug and remove the huge NATO plug, but I thought I'd keep the NATO setup, just so nobody but me (or other military vehicle) can tow it

Well I started working on a good plan for the ole girl. Took the spare transmission apart and it has a good core to make a new trans for it. Here is my new project to play with. I am hoping to make here a good little runner. nothing fancy but fresh and ready to play.

With 20 years in the US Navy, and nine+ years underwater on Nuc Sub's.

And they wonder why I am the way I am!!!!!!

Probably one of the first days I haven't touched the CJ....waiting on a new driveshaft. Yesterday I swapped out a bad rear axle seal.

Yesterday I cut off the front shock mounts in anticipation for shock hoops, and I busted 1 of the rear shock mount studs off, going to have to make a new one now.(oh well, gives me a chance to play with the ) Sanded the grill also, going to finish it up and paint it tonight, I also took the exhaust off and sandblasted a few misc. parts.

Had another good turnout this weekend for the Car Nuts. We added Steve Walczak and my wife.

First task was to take care of all the over spray from the painting of the engine. We did not want to take a chance on over spray on the engine so we taped the whole thing up. Then we sprayed up the frame and axle (Steve you forgot the front of the shackle, don't worry Santa cam along and fixed it.

The doors , grille and windshield frame are back from the painter. We are not ready for them yet, but going in the right direction now. We actually did not unbolt anything from the Jeep this weekend (although I did disassemble some of the parts we had already removed

We are truly going in the right direction now. We are preparing parts to go back on the Jeep. The new powder coat I have recieved from NIC is a much better match than the last batch.

There are additional pictures and text on my web site at this link

Nothing done on my CJ7, but a mark in the win column for it.. told my wife I was going to sell it because we could use the money. My two girls age 13 (one was had the honor of driving it in the pines already) were very upset and she said I didn't have to sell it just don't put any more money into it. But she still calls it the POS. So she's starting to warm up to it.

This happened to me today too... Actually happens to me about once a month, so I used to carry a plastic gas can with me until I had to put the soft top and doors on and I leave it out so I don't get the fumes built up in there.

Luckily, it was 65* today, so I had the doors and back window off and remembered to carry it with me on my ride and filled up on the side of the road

Closed my hood. Tired of looking at my engine.

Time to start driving it, if it stops raining and warms up a few degrees here.
