Fixed a shorted wire that a furry little creature caused.

Drove a few miles with my wallet and droid phone on the front bumper. Still there when I stopped!

Who ever said a CJ rides rough. Ha!

Did that with a wrench, nut, and bolt. Drove to the gas station and back and found them still there. Amazing what stays on a Jeep and what comes off.

Found out Blackberry Pearls do not stay on bumpers.....
However it did survive laying on St Rt 303 long enough to have the finder call a friend of mine. Being the only guy named 'Skip' in town, found it's way back to me before finally expiring.

There is still a pair of glasses out there someplace...

x3

when cordless phones first came out, I gave mine a ride on the front frame plate of my YJ all the way across town to a local 4x4 shop.

I think the ONLY reason I didn't lose it was the grill guard/driving lights

finished hacking off the food stamp welded on front bumper from the PO. what a b!t** that was.. thanks bard, you hack. had to do quite a bit of clean up and also added some small sections of 3/16 flat stock to the front frame horns to strengthen it up.

also got the front spring hangers back in the proper location (so now my front axle will actually sit square in the frame instead of being cockeyed. again, thanks bard, you hack.). should go down the road much better now.

next is installing new front shackle hangers from jim (crabtree), but i have to get some new bolts. the ones that came with them are the wrong size. no biggie. then, new warn front bumper and m8000 winch. then, i'll have to start tinkering with mounting the plow i bought for it last winter. i'll be ready for snow hopefully by mid sept. sometime.

Tean Rush Upgrade

Did the team Rush ignition upgrade last night on my CJ, drove it to work today, what a huge improvement, started right up this morning, no choke, or miss, and was actually passing cars on the freeway for once. I'm excited to see how much this helps on my gas milage. Thanks JeepHammer for all your great info.

I found the source of my vaccum leak, bad EGR valve. I made a steel plate to block it off at work today. it runs much better now.

replaced steering stabilizer....PO beat the crap out of it on rocks.....it was sticking and not doing much in terms of "stasbilizing"!!! Also re-torqued my shackles and axle u-bolts! Wife and I took a late evening ride in the country and some really bumpy roads to test it out....works like a charm. Weather here in Ohio has finally improved, lower temps and lower humidity, it feels like early October this weekend not mid-August but I think we are gonna pay later this month!!!

Got it Monstalined

Spent the last three days stripping out the interior, sanding, grinding, wire wheeling, and finally applying the Monstaliner.
