Been there done that......did it with the body on too

Just spent the last few hours figuring out how to make a YJ sending unit work on my new gas tank, mostly bending the float wire around and flipping the resistor 180 degrees.

Haha, I'm leaving the body on too, It might be annoying, but when I crawl under there and I feel a 10 degree temperature drop, it's worth it.

I'm guessing I'm one of the few 15 year olds that has the patience to do this... The majority of kids my age would just give up...

My dad and I restored my 1963 GMC when I was 15-16 yrs. During the summer he'd be at work having left a looooong list of things to clean, scub, or sand. Seems like I spent the entire summer sanding, scraping and cleaning, but it was worth it. Keep up the good work!

Pulled the engine. Also pulled the low mile engine from a donor CJ7. Tomorrow I'll get the "new" engine in.

I'm thinking the majority of 15 year olds would never start. Good for you!

Hey guys and gals. I just wanted to post in here to let yall know that I acquired some CJ7 parts that I don't need off of craigslist for a project I am working on. The parts I don't need are the hood latch, headlight buckets, and headlight electrical harness.

If you are interested, pm me

Parts (I have bolts, screws, etc not pictured)

Drove it 40 miles and found out one of my O2 sensors is bad. It didn't want to come out so I'm saving that for tomorrow. Front bumper and winch mount are painted.

Pulled the OEM power steering pump and fabed up new bracket for the saginaw pump. BTW it's a 5.0.

The ring holding the pump and main plate it all rests on is 1/4. The box looking thing and shroud around the pump is 1/16. Thinking about posting the build.
