Remounted the cargo rack, after painting. Fabbed up the driver's side rocker guard and painted it. Both sides will finally match!

Lets see...

Went to remove dash to replace speedometer, tilted windshield forward and hey...what's that crunchy sound? Removed seal on the bottom of the windshield frame and found terminal rot, at least I know why my defroster works so poorly. Ordered new windshield frame and both gaskets. Pulled dash out and replaced speedometer. Replaced all the little dash lights with new units. Replaced heater control knobs with aluminum ones. Installed my CD player in place of the old stereo. Fixed several wiring issues. Did an emergency Por-15 application on the rot because god knows when I'll get around to painting and replacing it. Put everything back together and found out that the new speedometer will go above 40, but still won't read correctly under power. Made note to work on adjusting the new carb.

I'm gaining, but holy ****, so many little things to do on the old girl.

Txjeeper - good luck, stay safe! Be careful parking a vehicle under a tree - especially an Oak or other tree that has seeds, acorns, etc. They are a mess to clean out!

I bought mine from Morris for $138. No idea how good it is, but I'll make it work.

Tx Jeeper, Two weeks ago I pulled my jeep from under an oak tree where it had been "resting" for 7 years with no cover, previous owner "parked" it there. I now have rusted floor pans and seats and risers are totally rusted out. It took two days to clean out all the leaves and debris from the tree! Stay safe and be careful over there.

Took it out for it's first test drive yesterday and drove like I stole it! Wanted to get the piston rings seated well and driving like a bat-out-hell up and down hills while loading the engine is the best way IMHO. Had no issues except the 4wheel drive light came on for no reason....removed and cleaned the switch on the Dana 300 and now it works correctly. Weber carb has a flat spot so some fine tuning is needed and a jet change for the idle circuit needs to be changed too. My son and a friend really had a blast driving around with me without a license plate on all the back country roads. Never saw a cop so all was good.

Thought about ordering a rebuild kit for the 351 and the t-18. Then figured why would I do that if I am not even on the same side of the world...

It's Jeep weekend for me...body patches, welded up a new clutch bracket, new motor mounts, finished off the transmission rebuild, dropped the gas tank to fix the fuel sender...got to use the angle grinder, the bench grinder, the welder, the sheet metal flange tool, the new hole punch, bearing separator, arbor press, 5# hammer, torque wrench AND the multi-meter...aaahhhh...heaven! Just think how good it'll feel to actually drive it again!

Rummaged threw the parts bin to start a powertrain upgrade for the CJ5.

Currently powered by a 2.5/SR4 or T4/300 from a 81 scrambler because it lying there when I first put the Jeep together.
I have a 225/T18/20 that I'm hoping to mate together.
