Got it started for the first time in 6 months, drove down to the end of the driveway and put it on the tow truck. Since I am only going to be here for a day, cant do the work myself.

When I showed up at the shop, the guy asked me if he could buy it from me instead of them fixing it. That made me happy!

Bought a few brake hose for re-routing the lines to the front brakes. Going to have one line gong to the center of the axle and Tee off of that to both sides. Now more 24" long brake hose flopping around by the front tires.

Power blasted the interior to remove Herculiner. Guy came to my house and used aluminum oxide. It worked great. Here are pics of the jeep taped up and the aluminum oxide piles in the jeep.

CJ Seats

Decided to replace the original seats in the CJ. Not only did the drivers seat have the old "CJ recline", but they were getting pretty beat up. And I wanted to convert the interior to black:

Bought these seats off e-bay over the winter:

Used some Duplicolor vinyl dye and "painted" them black:

I cleaned up the mounts while I had the seats out.

Before:

After:

Working on a few other things that I will post as well.

All I did was go through more withdrawl. I swore I wouldn't spend any more time or money until I got it running and I won't have all my parts until Monday, next weekend I expect to spend a lot of time with my baby.

This weekend I'm planning on putting the new gas tank in... I bought everything & was curious about Sea Foam. I'm not replacing the lines, just the fuel filter, fuel pump, sending unit, and tank. Any ideas?

Oh man, be careful with those aluminum shims. They will wallow out where the hole is and wear down. You should really use steel shims.
