Ran new SS preformed brake lines from the rear brakes to the distribution block. What a mess that was. Now I have to tackle the front brakes....Yikes

Ran new body and frame grounds. Dropped the tank and emptied all the crud that was in there. Found pieces of the old sending unit(now replaced) in the tank, along with approximately half a quart of water. The year plus old gas and water was the color of sundried tomato and roasted red pepper salad dressing. Guess that should take care of the stumble at RPM that my 304 had.

Driveline hit the pavement today, so I took it in to have a new yoke put on it, and it'll be ready in the morning. I'm gonna replace the yoke on the rear of the t-case while I'm at it and replace the shackle bushings all the way around.

Installed 15 gallon poly gas tank, man what a pain. NOTHING fit like it was supposed to, but it's done now - no more rust. Installed bead-blasted and freshly painted intake and exhaust , cranked it up and actually got it off the trailer where its been living for the past 2 months. Drove it down the road - WOW !!!!!! Tie rod ends, steering box and BRAKES just became the next priority. Keeps me out of trouble, though - working on your Jeep is cheaper therapy than some other things....

Damn, I'd love to put a CB in my Jeep, if I didn't think that somebody would rip it out.

Replaced cracked timing chain cover. Darn things are plastic 4.3L. Had to remove exhaust, oil pan, water pump, and hermonic balance. What a task but, no more oil leak.

I drove mine to work today thinking wow what a beautiful day to drive without my hardtop. Needless to say had to wait 30 min. for the very severe thunderstorms to stop before i could drive home. But hey it needed washing any way.

First I removed the blown off tarp from my just moved in neighbors driveway. I folded up the tarp and put the bricks away. Then I moved it outta the driveway to put my quad in the backyard. I then put the Jeep back in the driveway. I gotta dig out that soft top b4 the next rain storm.
