Got mad, threw a wrench at it. Left some knuckle skin on the body. Cussed torx heads for most of the day. Managed to do the blower motor upgrade. Also manage to use it to destroy my shop vac. (luckily it was a free bee), but now I have to replace it.

Did some off-road wheelin. It was mucho fun. Thanks goodness all the 4wd worked perfectly. I had never had a chance to test the front hubs, but they locked in flawlessly. I had almost forgotten why I loved jeeps so much. After i was done a nice wash and wax was next

I added some new body damage. I went sliding backwards down a muddy hill climb in the woods and slammed right into a tree. Now I wish I had a tail gate, it would be a way easier fix. Also ripped a hole in my brand new soft top from rubbing it into a tree trying to get out. It was great fun!

It's not too bad. I slid down the hill and pinned the rear end right into a tree. There is probably about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch bow in the middle of the back side of the tub. You can only really see it if you are standing on the side of the Jeep looking at the back. Part of the reason I took the top off was to try to bend the rear bow for the top back into shape, it was the first thing that hit the tree. After getting the top of though and surveying the damage its really not too bad so I don't know if I am going to bother with it. I guess the best way to describe it is a really gradual shallow bend that starts dead center of the rear and goes out to the sides.

All in all it was fun though. I was tired of following my buddy down forest roads so I decided I would find a nice little trail. It ended up turning into a dirt bike trail totally overgrown with trees. I was at a point where I could not turn around on the trail but there was a clearing at the top of this hill climb. I was heading up that when I hit some unseen slop that sent me sliding sideways and backwards right into the tree. I spun my tires for a while trying to get out, but it sucked facing up hill on a muddy slope pinned into a tree with open diffs. I let the air out to 11 psi and actually walked right out of the hole I dug myself in. All in all I would do it again.

On a side note, I have realized something funny. People that get rid of a perfectlly good CJ for a TJ that they are too scared to wheel makes me laugh. I am not knocking TJ's but my buddy just bought one and he will barely wheel it. He had a MINT and I mean MINT condition 1978 CJ-7 w/ 33" Pro Comp MT's, lockers front and rear, Warn 8274 on the front, 2 1/2 inch lift, flawless paint, full hard top and doors, basically the works. It was a sweet Jeep. He just sold it for a pretty built TJ. It has ARB's front and rear, 35" BFG MT's, 4.5" RE lift, 2" body lift, bumpers, lights...etc and he is too scared hes going to scratch it. For some reason my little CJ on stock springs with 31's has to be the lead rig on any trail we ride. I laugh even harder when he gets on the radio cussing me out because he cant follow me through the trees. Then he complains about not having the CJ anymore, all I can say is I told you so! CJ's RULE!!

BTW Hoss: Have you made it down to Union Gap yet?

Replaced my old rusty exhaust system. It's about time. I'm trying out a glasspack to see how it sounds. Not bad so far.

New Tranny

Unwrapped the new tranny.http://www.jeepforum.com/gallery/sho...&userid=110146
Picked up a chevy truck hydraboost, hoses, pump and gearbox for $100.00. Is it just me or do the rest of you doing a complete rebuild find its feast or famine? One week it seems like there is a couple of things that need to be finished and the next there is 25 projects that need to be addressed.

I did, quick trip in and out (2 hrs), no time for sightseeing or jeep parts hunting

and back on topic, I installed a new SS grill and replaced my turn signal lenses:

Buttoned up the motor mounts, tightened down all the fuel system fittings and clamped everything down. Redid my tranny mount and moving on to cooling today.
