Finally got the family style rollbar all bolted in. I decided to use the original CJ windshield. Nutserted the cross bars. Not sure if I like it 100% compared to the old one, but one thing I will say it is easier to yank yourself up in it.

85' CJ7 Laredo, 383 GM, Turbo 350, NP 203. SOA, 2" frame lift, 34" TSL swampers, Dana 30 open, AMC 20 w/ detroit locker, 4:10's, 1 Piece Mosers, 35" boggers to abuse when needed.

Test Fit my engine and tranny and removed all the stock wiring


1984 CJ 7, SBC 350TBI, 700R4, D 300, AMC 20, D30, 35" Mickeys, 3.54 Gears, 4" susp. Lift, 2" body lift.

Welded up some holes in the floor, replaced a section of the floor on the drivers side. Looked at the parts box that came from JEGS to finish the motor. Ordered the herculiner and undercoating. Hoping to talk brother into going to pickapart and shipping me some stuff as only junkyard here wont let people in to look at stuff, shrug.

my kids and i drove around town with the windshield down. and then my 7 year old and I relpaced my oil presser gage with a new one 50psi at idle

lets see... drained the oil, pulled the radiator, fan, vibration dampener, water pump, belts, valve cover, the peices that WAS my timing cover, the busted chain, the chewed up crank gear....

TRIED to drop the pan (hung up on the drivers motor mount.. any suggestions?)

JB welded the Alternator bracket (pray it holds)

replaced the timing set, waiting on the MISSING Oil Slinger that i think is the cause of the chain failure, as well as the hardware to replace the bolts that got tweaked when my chain snapped...

also diagnosed the steering slop i had.. and think could need a new front driveshaft...

all in all, a VERY busy day

btw... if my starter was covered in oil/muck, and oil is leaking from my bellhousing, should i be thinking rear main seal, or transmission input seal leak?

Took off the rusted up windshield frame. Stripped two torx heads. Busted one drill bit drilling them out.

Marching or fighting, it all pays the same.

I started taking the hard top and bulkhead off of my Scrambler. Time for no top, it's gotten plenty warm here.

'81 Scrambler w/ FI 360 AMC, 33x12.50 BFG M/T's, 5" of lift, ARB'd Dana 44's F & R, Dana 300 clocked & twin sticked w/4:1, Warn XD9000i, etc...
2002 Grand Cherokee Limited, 2008 Overland Grand Cherokee, a 1976 CJ-7 in pieces and 3 more off-brand 4x4s...............

pulling out of your driveway towards the main intersection, and having your motor mount break, which let's your motor rise, which pinches your throttle cable at full throttle as you enter said intersection (on a red light) comes pretty close...
