Finally finished mounting all of my E-brake hardware. Put the last coat of undercoating on my sport bar frame tie-ins. Installed rubber trim around the bottom edges of the tub.

Received the corner rail pieces from Bestop and was finally able to secure the back of the softop. Just waiting on the upper halfs of the doors and I'll be set to wheel through the snow.

Picked up a wiper motor cover and tailgate hinge set on Ebay.

I took the CJ out on the back property to cut down some firewood and ended up winching myself up the hill. Took a few runs just to get it high enough for the winch line to reach the tree saver and chain. Pics don't do the hill justice.

Rewired the whole thing in an 18 hour marathon session and now the brake lights wont turn off at all.
On the other hand I no longer feel it necessary keep the 15lb fire extinguisher on the pass seat.

I needed to replace the front axle U joints on my new to me 79 7 as they were really sloppy. When I took it off 3 of the 4 caps didn't have any needle bearings. I got it all tore apart and had gotten the wrong ones. but on the bright side when I went to get them replaced I asked for the Blazer blower motor and got it for $5 brand spankin new. Beings I live up here in the land of the frozen tundra I really wanted some good heat in there. I also have the heater box I took out of my 78 that I cleaned up and the heater core in that was in great shape so that with the new blower motor will go in after I finish up with the front axle. After getting the new U joints I was working on pressing them in and I got to close to the propane heater and started my over alls on fire. I patted it down with my hand, no gloves on, ouch . So that stopped that. So I suppose with getting the blower motor cheap and burning myself it was an even day.

Discovered rattling noise under hood last night was what was left of the air filter and top off the filter housing. Replaced filter and bolt. New Belt, as old one was frayed due to rubbing on the now shiny polished filter top.

I just finished painting my tube fenders and trimmed rear wheel wells, I finally got my Holley carb to quit stalling at idle, and I'm just starting to work on my hard doors- they're a rusty mess. It's funny how easy it is to find time to work on the old toy while unemployed....

Gave the windsheild frame for my budget build to a friend to sand blast for paint prep. It's only been sitting in my basement since last winter.

I finished up replacing the U joints on the front axle in spite of the huge blister on my hand, see post above about that. After buttoning it all up I took it for a spin. About 5 miles later noticed a bad sound coming from under the hood. You all know what that sounds like. I had to turn around and get it back in the garage and found out the water pump is trashed. Yippe I GET to work on it again. Oh well at the same time I will replace the heater box with one that is already cleaned up and has a good heater core as well as the blower motor upgrade. Can you say nice warm Jeep.
