I scored a Detroit soft locker. Now I just need to get one piece axles, axle overhaul kit and $$$$ for the install.

Drove mine to work again since the JK is still on jack stands awaiting parts.

At least nothing fell off this morning on the way in.

Started out replacing the plastic oil pressure gauge line with a ss braided line.

While under the dash I ended up rewiring the oem radio and cigarette lighter that the PO hacked in by twisting wires together and duct taping. Got the lights working on the oil and volt gauges (grounding issues) and found the defroster duct hose was just a piece of wire with little bits of cloth attached.

With that taking 3 ours longer than it should have, I finally got around to finishing the nutter bypass. Time well spent..

Heading out to 4WD hardware in the morning, hopefully they will have everything on my order in-stock. Installing 2 new outer window seals and the defrost duct hose would make me happy for tomorrow.
( 0 for 6 on my order, duct hose is on permanent back order, time to get creative..)

well today i put my dash back together, installed my seats, mounted and adjusted the steering wheel, hooked up the steering linkage, replaced the thermostat gasket twice, and drove it around the block for the first time, only to find out that the housing is still leaking.

Just finished replacing the lovely plumbing foam wrapped in electrical tape that the PO called "Roll bar Pads" with a decent zip on set and welded up a crack I found next to the tailgate where the spare carrier mounts. Fixed the lock on the drivers side door and got a key made so I can now actually lock the thing.

I drove it to work today, first time since the de-nutter procedure. Much smoother overall, more usable RPM and no more stalling at stoplights..

Since I fixed the OEM radio I can really hear every squeak and rattle. yeah, I fixed it so good that it doesn't work anymore..

Depends on what you have now. I had the MC2100 on my 258 and lots of people have success with that but i found a Weber 32/36 on my local craigslist and paid just over a 100 bucks for it and im very pleased with it so far.

Over the last 2 days, I've dissasembled the fenders/grill, replaced the front brake lines, cleaned up some issues, found a rusted section in the frame(just in front of the firewall), determined I am not going to put those junky headers, and ordered the cam/lifter kit that will be going in before the end of the week. I'm just waiting on the heads I'm getting to come in. Who knows what'll get done tomorrow or find to fix down the road...
