Moved all of my unassembled pieces into a portable garage that I put up. Moved the sandblasted frame and axles into the porta garage too. Removed the engine, transmission, and transfer case from the old frame and put the engine on an engine stand as I get ready to rebuild it. Still trying to decide what to do with the old axles. Not sure yet.

installed the wiper motor cover. Only took me about 10 minutes, I was all geared up for a few hours of cursing and confusion. Its always refreshing when you get a project that goes together a lot easier than expected.

Replaced the shoes on (almost) all wheels and discovered that the reason my recently acquired CJ5 pulls real bad to the right when braking is because the springs/shoes/misc small parts are missing from the rear left wheel.

Rebuilt slave cylinders, and replaced master cylinder.

I did the work at a friends house, and was halfway home in the dark when all the external lighting blinked a few times then turned off. Had to hard wire the headlights to finish the drive home.

Dropped the fuel tank and installed new sender seal and fuel lines on the tank. Adjusted the quan. sender to read correctly... sort of.

Installed new AMC/GM HEI system with platnium plugs. Runs great.....

Next big project will be one piece axles.

Finished putting on my Hedman fender well headers, I removed the left front fender (to clear the steering shaft) and it went on perfectly, no scratches, didn't have to purposely dent any tubes. The low end torque is amazing coupled with the Flowmaster 50 series mufflers. I also replaced the fuel lines in the engine bay, new front brake pads and turned rotors, repacked bearings and installed longer braided stainless steel brake lines. I had to replace both inner and outer spindle bearings as the races were cracked on the left front, all in the last 3 days.

Still have to do the turn signal switch, defroster duct (there's a Prestone bottle performing those duties at the moment), new stainless steel dash knobs, oil pressure gauge, cut front u-bolts, rewire tail lights (if the new turn signal switch doesn't fix them), replace radiator overflow bottle.

I guess I'll be busy for a while..............

I backed into my friends YJ, left a big *** dent in the rear, and scored my CJ some shiny new paint.
