Do you shovel snow off your driveway with a backhoe?
If I had a back hoe I'd figure out how to open a beer with it even tho my finger would be way easier

It would look good on the mantle. It would look better in my garage.

I too am a fan of the T5.

Cheers,

Installed my D20 t-case. I had previously had to grind out an inlet to accommodate the rod ends from my T14. Fit perfectly! Pulled the intake manifold so I could clean it up and drill the water inlet bolts that broke while I was trying to pull the inlet/thermostat housing. While I was doing that, my daughter installed the drive lines! Filler neck and rear tank ordered. Skid plate already in. Finally getting some stuff done after being sick for most of December.

Took the CJ5 in for a manual transmission gear oil change, which was way overdue, and something short of a miracle happened on the way home. Besides nice clean oil for the gears, the clutch didn't squeak upon depression and lift off nor did I have to use the tip of my foot to get it to come all the way back up!! This squeaking has been going on for what seems to have been years.
But the miraculous event only lasted two days and its back to its squeaky self once again.... Sadly. Doesn't make any sense to me why a gear oil change would temporarily be a fix.

Is the linkages greased? I sprayed white lithium grease on mine at the pedal, and when greasing the cross shaft I rubbed a dab on the ends of the linkages too. There should be a spring from the clutch fork to a bracket on the bellhousing to pull the fork back, and I believe a spring on the pedal too. Spray some white lithium on the ends of the spring where it goes thru the pedal.

One thing to note is those linkages are just metal rods going thru metal holes, and they wear. Mine were worn thru about half way when I replaced them. May want to check that and replace as needed.

Ordered my True Trac and gears for my Dana 44. Had to replace the gears due to a couple of teeth broken on the pinion. Discovered this while inspecting and cleaning the rear end for paint.

Nothing wrong with being a good operator and using heavy equipment......

Using a T-5 as a door stop, that is all they are good for....

Beat it to fit, paint it to match!

Cutlass327-
Thank you, I will do some inspecting and spraying!
Wouldn't be surprised if the linkage needs replacing since its original.
Don't see a spring anywhere on the pedal which is weird.

It all started during Governor Kitzhaber's administration, Part of it has already sold, all of the Lakeside entrance, Benson Ridge area sold to a single bidder [from what is being said] for about the timber value and with no consideration to the future resource value of the timber or recreational value of the land or road systems.

Took the Jeep in for its 5,000 mile tire rotation. Plus had them re-balanced.
Bought and poured in one bottle of Heet before filling up gas tank. Sort of confused as to which color bottle of Heet I should be using in my Jeep. Red bottle or the yellow bottle?

Ha, I think I got you beat in the transmission being shiny award. Here's my T4 case, did the same on the T5, after powder coating in plastic chrome coating.

Many people bash the T4/5 but it has been a good reliable transmission when correct gearing and tire combinations are installed.
