took out the starter, got the starter checked, got a new battery, wire brushed the starter to get a better ground, reinstalled everything, and went for a ride.

Nothing yet, but I'd like to clean it before the day is out.

Otherwise, I have owned my CJ for almost 3 months and have put about $2000 into it already. That is just for minor upgrades and some mechanical repair.

I think my wife is starting to not to like my Jeep anymore

I hadn't driven my CJ for 2 years until tonight...I uncovered it, hooked the battery back up, and it fired right up after I primed the carb with a little gas. Not bad for a motor with 147,000 miles on it.

Tomorrow I'll bring the tires up to street PSI, top off the power steering fluid, put her back on insurance and let it rip!

I've owned this thing since I was a junior in high school back '89...the clearance between the drivers seat and the wheel seems to get tighter every year...

I actually got stuck for the first time and used my new winch! Also learned a valuable lessen when checking to see how deep a merky creek is to add 2 feet of soft muck on the bottom to the depth observed. It was fun though jeep didnt even care about water up to the steering wheel (water was chest level trying to reach my winch cable in the front)

Put heat in last week, and a radio today too
