Put in a new set of autolites. That was the only part of the ignition I hadn't replaced. A couple of the old ones were looking pretty rough.

Patiently awaiting return call from radiator shop plus heard this from my new girl during our post-run stretch...." I like the color of your Jeep and it looks like it should run".......classic and funny.

Cleaned out the storage box in the back of my CJ. I built it to house speakers, an amp, power inverter, tools and so forth and it quickly became a sort of kitchen junk drawer. Now it's better. Along the way I came up with a way of securing my bottle jack using an old fire extinguisher bracket. Just cut down one of the straps since the jack is a smaller circumference than the old extinguisher was. Now off to get some hardware so I can finish securing other things in the box like tire iron, flashlight, ammo box for tools, etc.

(oops, not sure why the pictures uploaded like that - rotate 90 degrees in your mind to view :-)

Got all the lights in the dash working finally. Had to cannibalize some junk yard dash indicator lights to get a complete working original dash lighting system, courtesy lights, tach & clock inc.

Nothing. Gave it a rest after wheeling it yesterday. The good news is that my transmission rebuild was successful.
One trip up one trail left us with one broken axle,a kinked track bar,a broken U-joint, one flat tire, and a broken windshield.

I removed the dash and prepared it for paint. Decided that while I had it out I would replace all the gauges and and dash lights. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/images/attach/jpeg.gif

Attempting to replace distributor cap and rotor and damn rusted bolt snapped in half (see pic). I didn't want to deal with rusted bolt so purchased new distributor and replaced that as well.
