Got a spare and a rim from national wheel and tire at the Bloomsburg Jamboree, and finally got it mounted up on the swing away, scrubbed all canvas, and mothered my 22 years old MT/Alcoa's, then washed her down..

Tollster what are you using on your tires to get them that clean? Mine have a grayish tint at the bead area. Thinking about using bleach white on them but not sure with aluminum wheels. Eventually mine will be done enough[yeah right] to post a pic in here.

I just use Meguiars Gold glass suds with hot water and a kidney shaped scrub brush, it has a handle on the back and contours the rims nice, then plenty of elbow grease..
I follow up with Mothers Back to black tire shine (lotion bottle), every other wash or so on tires and all black trim.

I guess that I'm out of luck then. No stores around here sell elbow grease. Will be trying a small brush and soapy water then.

Funny. We have a product called Jif. It's a cream cleanser for bathrooms and whatnot. Works well on Tyres, just don't tell her indoors

Installed upper radiator hose. Checked for leaks and ended up having to pull the radiator.......always an adventure.

Started to assemble the soft doors to complete the new top change. And then the rains came. Does anybody have know how to tweak the doors to get them to close close to the roof? There was supposed to be a video in the kit but i didn't get one.

Dropped the oil pan to replace gasket and stop the CJ from leaving a trail and marking its territory.

Long story: I ordered a Fel-Pro gasket from RockAuto in June. I did not have time to change it before vacation. Just got to it today (Sunday). While removing the bolts, I noticed I had more bolts coming off then the new gasket allowed for. RA sent me the wrong gasket! I double checked my order. I ordered the correct one, they sent the wrong one. 30 days have pasted but the error was theirs, so I should get a refund. (I picked up the correct one at NAPA.)

The PO, or who ever changed the gasket previously, used cork. That was why is was leaking. Also, he did not tighten the bolt correctly. Most of the bolts I could unscrew by hand. I am surprised I did not loose any.

I had to support the engine and loosen the passenger motor mounts to drop the pan. What a Pain in the Ash! The previous person did not put in the bolt that goes under the motor mount, so I need to find a new one.

I have not finished putting everything back together yet. I want to clean the pan and paint it. Also, I will replace the RMS, since I am in there.

Just Empty Every Pocket.

Finally started stripping off the nasty latex paint a PO had used to paint the Jeep.

Using a heat gun to loosen the stuff and then scrape it off.
