I hope this post was not supposed to make his paint color selection easier!!!! I know after loooking at all those different colored Jeeps glad mine is already painted would hate to have to choose a color now!!!! Oh and just to add one more color to the party GREEN!!!!

Mango Tango Orange (new JKs)
Tan/Sand
Black
Electric Lime Green (TJs)
Intense Blue (TJs)
Inca Gold (TJs)
Red
Moonlight Blue (Dark Navy Blue My CJ's original color)
Solar Flare Yellow
Forest Green

While black is one of my favorite colors for pretty much any vehicle, I would say no to black for a Jeep. Not just from a maintenance stand point, but one of the things I've always liked about the universal models (CJ,, YJ, TJ, JK) is the accenting you get from the mirrors, flares, bumpers, etc, etc. So, I like bright colors for the body so that the accents stand out...kinda like the orange '74 CJ-5 a few posts above, or the yellow CJ's even further up the thread. My CJ-6 is close to the same color as the yellow CJ-7 above.

When I get ready to paint the Jeep, I'm most likely to paint it a windveil blue clearcoat metallic.
