What color would you paint

I am getting ready to paint my 80 CJ5. I am leaning toward blue or black. If you could paint your jeep, what color would you use? Any advise?

i'm going through this right now and have considered damn near every color (yellow, black, red, gree, olive drab, military sand/tan, orange, etc.) and i think i've narrowed it to OD or snow camo/regular camo

Well to me it all depends on what your primary use is going to be with the Jeep. I love black but would NEVER paint my Jeep black because one wheeling trip in the woods and its all scratched to hell and they are visible. I did Viper Yellow on mine but was also torn from Burnt Orange or a B5 blue. I think the blue would probably show the scratches as well. This is the Viper Yellow

That yellow looks great. I will be just mudding a little. Mostly just cruising.

I narrowed it down to one of the bright yellows or a plain old white.... ended up with a 'burn your retina if you look at it in the sun' white... I'm happy with my choice!

Main reasons I went white... it hides my amateur bodywork, it hides trail scratches, it's easy to spray (as in it hides poor technique), and it was cheap compared to some of the colors I was looking at... LOL

I'm a firm believer in original paint colors with original decals. I'm running the white with Blue Renegade Decals from '79. Getting back to that classic look turns the heads.
