What color is my Dana 300 transfer case?

Hi All - I am in the process of going through and checking out my transmission and transfer case. I am restoring it back to stock. My question is; What color do I paint my Dana 300 transfer case? It looks like it was black at one time, but I want to be sure. Also the t-case didn't leak, and as you can see, after I took off the transmission mount, and gentlly set it on the floor, the t-case developed a leak... I tried looking it over briefly, but I can't pick out where the leak is coming from.

black case with silver output shaft housings is what i've always seen on a dana300. as for your leak it's most likely coming from the oil pan on the under side of the case.
