What is this?

I attached 2 photos, if you need more let me know. Location is pass side fenderwell, right next to starter solenoid. I cant for the life of me figure out what the heck this thing is, nor can I find any information on it. Let me know what this thing is please?

Little hard to tell from the pictures, but it could be your ignition control box. Does it look like this?

its the idle speed control box. Does it have about 8-9 wires coming out of it and a square plug about 6" off the pigtail?

My Guess also.

Usually only 3 things were mounted on the fender. The alternator regulator on a v8

Or the idle speed or prestolight ignition control module as shown below.
