In addition to real homework I have been doing some engine homework as well. I risk burying this question in the build, but I will crack a fresh thread if I don't get enough response.
My graduation present may be fast approaching. I have been looking, and nothing really answers the question: Whais the easiest engine/tranny combo to drop in a JEEP? I will keep the D300, and the 20/30 combo. I am open to replacing the T4- might as well while everything is open.
I am not crawling up buildings and I don't need to do 11 sec. 1/4 mile.
I need the easiest, most idiot-proof engine installation. No spaghetti mess vacuum lines and smog nests. When you guys start talking engines I generally glaze over, and look for more pictures.
Most of the "which engine" questions found here revolve around torque, hp, or cost. Of course I don't want a dog of a motor, or one that will cost 2k to put in. I just want easy.
