vacumn leak

Hi all,

I know this is probably a stupid question but I have a slight vacumn leak and I noticed on the back of the carberator on my 304 V8 is fuel residue. It seems to be coming from the rear upper gasket. Could that be what is causing the vacumn leak?

Again, you might just say...DUH! But I wanted to confirm before I take my carberator apart.

Rick

Yes that could be it.

spray the area wit cab cleaner and if RPM's increase, you have found your leak.

Good luck!

Tighten all the top plate screws first.
