vacum lock 360 cj7

hi my name is jesse and i just joind the forum.i hope some one might beable to help me with my cj vapor locking on hot days.i have tried alot to fix the prob.i have a 360 in it with dual exhaust. i put a dual electric fan in,i have droped the tank all looked good, i put a 1"spacer under the carb,put as heat sheild around the fuel pump and filter,and put thermo tec heat insulating around fuel line. im lost on what could be making it vapor lock. hope some one has some suggestions

take the gas cap off

How can you tell it's a vapor lock problem? I chased a vapor lock for over a year that turned out to be a coil.

when it did it one time i took the fuel line off the electric fuel pump and no fuel was pumping and the clear fuel filter didfnt have any fuel in it.Im going to take the hood off today and drive it and see if that helps. i hope it is just getting to hot under the hood. if any one knows any thing thaty could help let me know i dont think it woulg be something besids a vapor lock but at this point im willing to try anything to fix it

How did you get fuel pumping again. I have seen a lot of trouble with electric fuel pumps. What is wrong with the mechanical pump?
