Mine was held in by a screw as previously mentioned. I would not have wanted to use a slide hammer on this. I don't know what would have happened, but something would have broken for sure.


2004 Rubicon, 6" lift, 35s, winch, hard top, full doors, bumpers, tire carrier and rock sliders.

Nothing broke. Mine was the spring holding it in. New one is installed and all put back together.
