Universal Starter? AMC 304-360

Hey guys,

I have an AMC 360 out of an '89 Grand Wagoneer. The TH400 trans is from a '79 CJ-7, along with the starter. I am using the starter part P3209. I found a different starter x16211 listed for the '89. (Both are Advance Auto numbers). The x16211 is listed for both vehicles.

My question is are the 2 starters identical as far as bolt pattern and gear? Is the one for the 360 a stronger starter?

Anything you can add to the pros/cons of the starters would be great.
