Twin Stick??

Ok, I finally have discovered what kind of driveline I have on my CJ7. Any suggestions on why I don't have the "twin stick" setup on my Dana 300 transfer case? It's hooked up to a Torque Flite 727 automatic. Am I supposed to have the twin stick? I know I have a newer driveline than what came out in '77. I'd like to make this right, the gear selection on the transfercase, I hardly have to move the lever at all. Very little lever travel between 4L, N, 2H, 4H. I'll post more pics if need be, The single lever I have is hooked up to a linkage plate, and that pulls out the two pins that go into the case. One pin travels out further than the other, so the plate has to pivot between the two, as well as pull and push the pins. Any info would be great... Thanks.

I am thinking that the lever I have was rigged up? Is it the right linkage? Thanks for any help...

Twin Sticks aren't factory, they're an aftermarket modification.

edit: You have the factory setup.

Thanks! Is the selection pattern like a GM transfer case? (4L, N, 2H, 4H )
4L being closest to the firewall? Forgive me for being ignorant on Jeeps, I have only owned 4WD GM trucks... I have done some research, and I have found conflicting info. I know Dana 20's are different pattern than GM, are the Dana 300's similiar to a GM? The guy I bought this from ran around with the lever pulled all the way back, I told him, I think he was running around in 4WD all the time, if the transfer case is like a GM product... Thanks again for any response...

Yes, that is correct for the Dana 300.

You can build a twin stick fairly easy using two OEM shifters. I'm getting ready to do it:
