I think you would have to be present @ Quadratec in order to get your shirt this coming May.

I was also thinking of giving an important part to Rommel Juan off of my original Jeep body signed by me and others who would be at Quadratec and offering it to him as a token of our appreciation and forward thinking. Since the body tubs that are now being built lack the later transmission cover plate opening of correct dimensions, I think it would be appropriate to give Rommel my factory original and powder coated transmission cover plate for the T4/5 trans and D300 TC. It was one of the harder modifications that needed to be done on the Repli-Tub floor panel as the hole opening needed to be enlarged and then a hand tool used to make the flanged bead edge on the newly cut opening.

What do you guys think?

It can be their master pattern template and when they are done with it, hang it on the office wall as a reminder that all things are possible with the right knowledge and tools at hand....

We make replacement tubs for the CJ7 and now the YJ as well.

My purpose here is to hear your comments and suggestions so that we may improve our tubs to better serve the jeep community.

Cheers,

Hi Rommel--

I am in the process of restoring a 1979 CJ-7 and am considering buying one of your tubs to replace the rusted out original. I have been reading through this thread about the variations that makes us home builders a little wary when items are off a little bit of original specification.

I would like to see stainless steel versions offered. I would order a stainless steel tub for a 1979 CJ7.

Thanks for soliciting our input to make a better product.

Rommel- we need some space in the PM box.

They make a stainless steel version but I have never seen one up close. I can't imagine what the price of that tub would be.
