Tubs

I haven't seen any talk lately on the new and improved CJ7 tubs from MD Juan. Anybody had any experience in recent months with the purchase of one, I'm back in the market for one.
Thanks for any input.

Last I heard there were still some issues related with the cowl of the tub Keith460 raised these issues before. MD Juan is the only company making repli tubs just rebranded to other companies. If I were to buy a new tub, which might happen eventually, id look at willys overland who fix any issues before you can buy the tub.

If you're good enough at metalworking to fix the MD Juan tubs, you're good enough to convert a YJ. That's what I'm doing.

Classic Enterprises really needs to finish the job they are 4/5 of the way on and offer a complete tub.

Ya, I've talked with Jay at Overlands, he's awful proud of his repli-tubs.
I thought Juan was going to address some of the issues and I could pick one up from another dealer at a reasonable price.

Took me about 10-15 hrs to totally convert a YJ tub to a CJ. Complete defrost /cowl section, swapped gas filler door, CJ tailgate and cable brackets , welded up YJ fender flare holes, filled in washer squirter holes. A completely rust free tub for under $500 bucks.

And it is American made of decent sheet metal thickness.
