While doing some work under the hood of '81 Scrambler, I forgot to re-install a rubber hose I usually have on the front grille brace bar adjacent to the (positive) battery terminal. In a rush, I also didn't tighten down the battery either. Fast forward to later that day, I hit a bump pulling into a parking lot, battery must have bounced, arched to the grille brace bar and fire resulted that burned up some of the harness I had just installed after restoring dash to original from PO's aftermarket stainless mess.
I have replaced the damaged wires I could find, but still having issues and trying to troubleshoot.
1) Does anyone have a list of typical fusible links as I am wondering what I may have missed in my inspection/repair?
2) I am also wondering if the alternator resistor may be toasted? It is marked DALE CW-5 82 ohm 5% 6.5W M1150 (for Delco CS130 Series Alternator). How do I test the resistor?
