trying to find out gear ratio

i tried everything we could and we counted the number of teeth on the ring gear and we came up with 39...now what do i have to do with that number to figure out the ratio?

Count the teeth on the pinion, and divide the two.

The ring gear should have both numbers stamped right on it, no need to count.

You can see the 41 11 on mine just after the serial number. 41/11=3.73
