Trouble removing steering gear from steering shaft....
Im trying to replace my steering gear and i have everything disconnected except the steering shaft, so long story short my jeep is sitting in the drive way with my steering gear just hanging on by the shaft and i have no idea how to get it off. Any ideas?

The bell coupler may need to be driven rearward off the steering gear stub shaft, once the bolt is removed.

Take off the shaft from the upper shaft (near the firewall) by removing that pinch bolt. Hopefully, with a good yank, that will come off, and you can seperate the lower shaft from the box on the workbench.
