transfer case

I recently had my transfer case rebuilt. I filled it with one quart of gear oil and it began to leak out of where the drive lines connect. It was leaking from the splines. What do I do?

If you had it rebuilt by a shop, take it back and tell them to finish the job! If you did it yourself pull the output shafts and check/replace the seals.

Good luck

LOL, yeh, I think that is an accurate statement; "finish the job" LOL! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

Sounds like they either left out the seal by mistake or severely damaged or kinked it during installation.

You didn't post the transfer case model, but if it is a D18 there is a rubber grommet that goes behind the yoke nut to keep oil from leaking out the splines. This is FYI only, take the advice of the other posts and take it back, you paid for it, you should be satisfied.
