Timing Set Replacement
Chilton manual says I need to use two special tools (j-22248 and j-9163) to install the oil seal on the timing cover. Is that true? Anything I can use in place of them?
You can get a piece of PVC pipe that fits in the recessed area of the oil seal and set it in place that way. If your careful you can also just tap it in place with a rubber mallet and usually not damage the seal.
