Time for new Drive shafts

Hope these are good, I just ordered a new pair of Tatton 1310 Drive shafts for the cj5! The price is almost scary at $150 each delivered. Anybody running these?

I'm sure they are nice (no personal experience with the brand... I always buy from a local shop here in town). I'd have probably gone with a larger diameter tube on the rear shaft.

I've got a Tatton rear DS. I've got no complaints.

Here's a link to a reviews page right here in Jeepforum with all positive reviews.

I have used a local shop for drive shafts, last time was $200 (I supplied the parts they the tube and welder) and the tattons are $150 each with all new parts! I cant get close to that at my local shop! About the worst review I have found on the tatton shafts was "it was boxed with the paint wet" and "it was not well balanced" ~ Tatton paid for re-balance at a local shop even though it was not authorized (good service!)

I also gave the tube a thought, but I am stock, no lift or planes for one, the 33x13.50's are off for 31x9.50's (speedo reads correct), and I dont get to heavy on the skinny peddle any more.

And my review would have to be positive also! The rear shaft tube is all of 2" long, I dont think it will ever be a problem. Put them in yesterday while the temps were above 60*F, perfect fit, and run smooth. Even the exhaust is less loud, coasts further, and the clink clank is gone! Now to find the rest of the rattles,,,,

I just ordered my 3rd Tatton DS. For the money, I think that they are a good deal. I like the fact that they have a 7" slip joint.

Here is my Tattons, it is beefy compared to the stock front. My rear was done before me, I would do another Tattons w/o hesitation. The front he built for me, has high quality parts throughout
