tilt steering

Ok All,
I recently installed new seats in the cj but, they are a little too tall (space between seat pan and steering wheel)
I am looking to install a tilt column. What is the easiest column to put in a 1979 cj7. was told a 76-79 chevy would bolt right up, electrical and all.

You assistance please...would be much appreciated

thanks
3j

Yes, they will work, unless you can find a 82 to 86 CJ.

Mid 80's S10 should work with little or no modification.

I used a column from an '84ish Cherokee Chief, but I had to modify the lower steering shaft and move the high beam and ignition switches a little forward.
