Looking at buying this kit. Any thoughts?

My 2 cents...
For the money, not worth it. You can replace tierods for less than a 1/4 of that. Tierods need to be adjusted on occassion depending on your use. I do not have good success at keeping them straight or un bent. Just one thing after the other on a Jeep.

I'd get the flip kit but go with some monster heavy duty tie rods if it were me

Looking at your profile I noticed you have a lift kit -- I found the flip to be helpful in keeping the springs from banging against tie rod due to the angle of my 3" lift. I used the reamer/sleeve kit and purchase the other stuff as I needed it. The flip will also help take the angle out of your drag link and lessen bump steer issues. I believe the flip kit is one of the best upgrades I have done for less than $100.00..............

Well, what do you suggest? I'm looking to get larger tie rod and drag link, and new ends. Most kits only have only the rods, and no ends.
I'm willing to go larger on the tie rod ends, I just have to get some tubes.

I used their flip kit with a "Big Daddy" tie rod and drag link. Works great. The Big Daddy rods are monstrous, and my steering geometry is fantastic. Not even a hint of bumpsteer!

Their description isn't very good, if it comes with the 1-1/8" tie rod and drag link (which I think it does), then I would say yes. Also didn't see any jam nuts in the picture - they would be needed if you went to a 1-1/8" rod.

I agree with Chet. The flip is fine but that kit is not the best you could do.

I did the flip and used Big Daddy tie rod and drag link too.

Unlike Chet, I went back to the original Pitman arm and got the lost turn radius back. I don't have bump steer issue either.

I should also point out that mine has 1" lift shackles, so the flat Pittman arm wasn't an option for me. Most people with stock size shackles do use the flat arm!

Does the big daddy kit come with all the ends?* The tube on it is 1.25?* I think.* So,,,,Big Daddy kit is $159* Then the flip kit is $85, other ends are $60,* This equals $304.* Yes, I would love to buy tube and ends and make all this myself, but this one is already done.* The special tools come with it.* I know everyone here and on othe boeards rave about the flip kit.* This is something I am doing.* I just thought I might upgrade the tubes while I was at it.PEEH

I got the kit with just the inserts and reamer. As Peeh said above, Big Daddy rods come with ends.

I went Big Daddy as well. I have 1/2" lift shackles, 4" sus lift and went back with the stock pitman arm, Geometry is very good and the steering is great. I got the inserts and reamer on the flip kit as well. There are many on here that will loan their reamer out for the cost of shipping, me included. That way the kit only cost you about 20 or $30 for just the inserts.

So the big daddy kit comes with the four rod ends? It looks like only one in the pictures. If this is true, then this brings a new light on the subject.

From memory, I think mine only came with one TRE. I ordered 3 more and replaced them all. I think the kit is set up to accept stock CJ TRE's, so they assume you can reuse your existin. I replaced all mine. I am very happy with the kit. You can save about $30 by ordering off ebay.
