A few things, its a 4.2 i6 its a 3 speed (I think I'd like a 4 speed).
Has 31" tires speedo reads about 10 mph low. Looks like it was a frame off resto 5-6 years ago. They did a nice job and it won't take much to get it in very nice driving condition. Still have lots of arkansas dirt to get off of it.

From what I've read the T18 is but I like the T176. It's what I have. It's suppose to be the second best 4spd.

i need to verify but i think i have a t-150 3 speed with a dana 20 transfer case. i dont believe the t176 will work with the dana 20. a t-18 will with an adapter. the adapter seems pricy and i still need to buy the t-18!. it seems the dana 20 is bomb proof and the t-150 is a solid transmission. maybe i will just have to live with the 3-speed.

Are you sure that's an 82? Because those are 79 & 80 decals and that paint isn't an offering from 1982. There were only 2 blues offered, slate blue and deep night blue. That's not either.

yes its an 82, the paint is the wrong color. its in great shape so i will be living with it for now. seems my mom didnt know much about the jeep, it was her late husbands. it was a frame off resto circa 2002. has the wrong tranny and xfer case. overall im very happy with it. i think im better off with the f-150 tranny and dana 20 xfer case. also the rear axle is posi, not sure if that is origional or not but there is definately no slip. i can feel the tires hoping on slow tight corners.
