Thanks to all, just a little more help.......

Thanks to all you guys for helping me thru the valve work and the carb problems.
I think both of those are working pretty well now.
However now that it's a running, I have a new problem.
I think it's probably the voltage regulator?

I noticed that it doesn't seem to be cutting out??
The amp gauge is basically "pegged" at full charge, and the battery is actually boiling over, so to speak.
I took the cover off and cant see whats wrong?
I push one contact down to seperate and another automatically seems to disconnect?
Can anything be done with these??? Lubricate, clean contacts, or anything.
Or is it just junk and needs replaced???
??????????????????????
Thanks as always

Is your Jeep, 6 volt or 12?
Does it use a generator or alternator?
Lots of details left out----

Sorry bout' that.
It is basically all original features.
Six volt with generator. Regulator even appears original.
Just seems to be high charging all tyhe time. Sometimes hen I tap on the regulator the amp ga jumps around but always goes back to high.
Seems like acid is coming out of the battery.
I had just filled the battery up to the ring. Maybe I just got too much in it and it is over flowing until it reaches the correct level?
But I dont think it should full charging all the time????
I hate to buy a new regulator if its not the problem. They are around $100.00,
This jeep got me about $100 to death.
Thanks as always

What is the voltage on the bat? It could have a bad cell so the other two are getting overcharged. But if hitting the regulator makes it move around I would guess the regulator is bad. I think I would look into going 12V.
