I've got a th400 mated to Dana 300 with the Novak adapter conversion going in a cj7. The problem I'm having is the cv style driveshaft rubs the corner of the trans pan and trans a little. Wondering what you guys have done to fix the problem if any I have read a little grinding. Just seeing what you can do I know there's something being it's a comin swap with the th400 thanks

I suggest you use a conventional front driveshaft. You don't need the CV joint (double Cardan joint) if you aren't driving in full-time anymore. The manual transmission CJs all have the conventional front driveshaft, IIRC.

It's Novak's adapter? I'm sure they would have some advice for you. Give them a call.

If you worry about the angle, I expect High Angle or Tom Woods could make a suitable shaft for you.
