tf727 with shifting issues

Tonight I installed a new tf727 3 speed automatic. Something is in a bind and thr shift selection lever isn't moving. I rocked the jeep hoping it would do something. I didn't function check it while it was out. Any suggestion before I pull it back out? Strangely enough the t-case (Dana 300 twin stick) front axle seems to be bound. Related? I don't know.
