Here's the story. CBS NEWS REPORTING 2 dead, 22 injuried.
A A A (resize font)
(CNN) - Blasts near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed two people and injured 22 others Monday, Boston police said.

The marathon itself, on its Facebook page, referred to the blasts as bombs. Authorities did not say immediately what caused the explosions.

Massachusetts General Hospital said it was treating 19 injured people; Tufts Medical Center reported that some injured were to be treated there as well.

The explosions sent smoke billowing into the air at Copley Square, turning a site of celebration into a mess of destruction.

Crowds had gathered in the area to watch the runners.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Lenox Hotel was evacuated, the Boston Globe reported, as authorities looked into possible security concerns.

Officials in other cities, including New York, tightened security as as result.

Mike Baingon, who works at the Atlantic Fish Company in Boston, said an explosion took place in front of the restaurant and that he was right by the front door at the time.

The explosions occurred at about 2:45 p.m., more than two hours after the first of the race's nearly 27,000 runners had crossed the finish line, CNN Producer Matt Frucci reported.

It's on the headlines in the Netherlands right now. And apparently the police detonated a suspicious package found. The first footage I saw even showed the runners being swept from their feet.

First of all, thoughts and prayers to those killed or injured.

The obama administration announced they found the cause. It was a supply of ammunition for those ugly black guns. Legislation is already pending to do away with any .223 ammo, along with any caliber number containing a 2 or a 3 or any combination of them!

Are you one of those folks since you made such a stupid racist remark? Way to do your part with keeping the race war alive and kicking.

The clowns making the stupid comments are morons. This event is pissing me off all over again. I still have a bunch of friends in the various $h1th0les around the world, and I remember them every day. If my body wasn't so busted from my previous time, I would be back in tomorrow. Prayers to those injured, and the families of those killed.

I posted this for informational purposes to spread the word to those away from "news." It doesn't matter what side of politics or gun control you are on we are all Americans. Leave the crap out of this please.

What is really fascinating to me is the difference between the local coverage and the national coverage..

The locals are talking about what's going on, where to send any info you have, how to get in touch with people.

The nationals are in full "Big Boom! Mayhem! Disaster! Shock!" .. replaying the most graphic loops they can find, and bringing in the most irrelevant talking heads they can find (Joe Arpaio? give me a freakin break!).
