Temp and oil pressure normal????

Just got my 360 in and running. Temp guage went up to 230 degrees and I have a 195 thermostat. But went down slowly to around 195 to 200 when I turned on the heater to check it out. My oil pressure is around 20 to 25 at idle and goes up around 40 or better when applying the gas. Is the temp normal? First time I have let it run for about 20 minutes to see how the pressure and colling is doing. Thanks.

Also will the timing being off affect the temp also? I have not yet got it set to where it needs to be.

Im sure you have air in the system that will either need to be bled out or will get bleed out from running it then checking after its fully cooled and topped off again. Oil pressure sounds OK,rule of thumb is 10 PSI per 1000 rpm. Timing can have an effect, probably more at speed as a poorly tuned engine works harder to make HP.
