Intake manifold, on top, drivers side, up by thermostat housing

I have an Edelbrock Performer manifold and I used the bung on the front passenger side of the water passage, to the left of the thermostat housing, when looking from the front of the engine.

On 'Betty' the factory idiot gauge I've got wired in at the "???" LT1 has shown above. Being a mechanical 270 degree gauge freak, I put the sender for the additional mechanical gauge where the water temp sensor port is shown.

I have the edelbrock intake on mine too it's non egr and I bought it used he plugged up where the pcv goes with a tapered plug and the only way to get it out is take the intake off is there a way to bypass the pcv or will it hurt anything without it?

go to the edelbrock website and look at the instructions for the 2131 intake. It shows the install location for everything on the intake.

I ran across this thread and had a comment. I too have the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, but the bung in the coolant port is being used for a temp sensor on my Holly Pro-Injection. I have another port in the thermostat housing that I am currently using. Does anyone know if this is the best place for this? Sometimes my temps are erratic. Is there a port in the block (AMC 304 V8) and would it be better to use over the thermostat housing?
